Worship Life at LAC
Service Times
Regular Sunday morning worship begins at 10 am. LAC’s worship services will continue to be live-streamed on Facebook, YouTube, and our website.
Worship is lively and engaging, diverse and creative. Our musical offerings range from gospel to orchestral arrangements, jazz to African drumming, and everything in between, often with the leadership and engagement of musicians throughout our talented community.
Out of this diversity, we offer praise and thanksgiving for the grace and love of God.
For those with mobility concerns, our Sanctuary is accessible via an elevator available at the Larchmont Avenue entrance. Handicap-accessible, all-gender, single-stall bathrooms can be found off of the Lindsley Room and Carhart Room. Large-print bulletins are available at each usher station. During communion, we use grape juice and offer a gluten-free option. At Larchmont Avenue Church we typically celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (communion) on the first Sunday of every month, as well as, on special days of observance such as Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday.
Thanks to a generous donation, we now have Hearing Assistance Devices available for loan during worship! Anyone may make use of the new system by downloading the Listen Anywhere App (for Android and iOS) and scanning the QR code to join the sound system’s wifi network. (QR codes are available in each pew, and are also posted at the main entrances to the sanctuary.) After joining the network, you may listen to the service via your own airpods, headphones, or hearing aids. Please ask an usher for assistance or Contact the Office if you would like help setting up the app, or to come by for a trial run!
We hope you will linger after worship and join us for fellowship during Coffee Hour in Russell Hall! Everyone is encouraged to wear a nametag, whether you have been worshipping at LAC for 50 minutes or for 50 years!
As a church diverse across a variety of ages and stages, LAC has a place for children of God of any age.
Directions
Larchmont Avenue Church is located at the intersection of Larchmont and Forest Park Avenues. Ample parking is available on Sundays either on Larchmont Avenue (with diagonal parking permitted on Sundays) or Forest Park Avenue. For week day visitors, please be sure to read the Village of Larchmont parking restriction signs carefully as parking availability is subject to weekday restrictions related to school hours.
Nursery
Child care is available for infants and toddlers during worship every Sunday. Paid child care providers are on hand, as well as volunteers and parents as needed. Please ask an Usher for further information and directions to the Nursery child care room.
Prayer Requests
