Saturday, October 28, 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm
Join us for a FALL TREE WALK led by Patty Towle, Saturday, October 28th, from 2 – 3:15 pm. (Rain date is Sunday, October 29th 2 – 3:15 pm).
We will walk around the LAC neighborhood and make stops at some of the most important and interesting trees in Southern Westchester. Come to learn fun facts about leaves, bark, and seeds, about how past inhabitants of our land used trees–think maple syrup, acorn flour, canoes, and paddles–and even how Larchmont got its name (hint: it has to do with the Larch tree)! Come and support our activities as part of being an Earth Care Congregation!
NOTE: This activity is limited to 10-12 persons.
