Connect with LAC’s Ministry, Community & Faith
Becoming a Member of the Larchmont Avenue Church
Are you interested in becoming a member of LAC? Would you like to know more about the process of joining? Here is what to expect: the process of joining is focused on welcoming you into our community, discerning with you where you are in your faith journey, and then helping you to get connected.
STEP ONE: Worship with us! Sundays at 10:00 a.m., you can worship with us in-person, or online via Facebook. (You can also view previous services on our YouTube channel.)
STEP TWO: Contact our pastor to express your interest in joining!
STEP THREE: Participate in a New Member Class. At LAC, we organize our class into three sessions: the first is about Christianity as a whole, the second is about what Presbyterians believe, and the third is all about LAC’s ministry and connecting you with some key people in our community.
STEP FOUR: Be welcomed into membership by the Session (our governing body) during worship!
We believe membership is the best option because it comes with all the benefits of knowing for certain you are a part of something very valuable and important – namely Christian Community. The choice to join is a choice to be responsible and committed to growing “…a community of Christ of all ages.”
